Terms and Conditions

The competition commences at 9am AEST Wednesday, 13 August 2025 and closes at 5pm AEST Friday, 29 August 2025

Method of entry: Each entrant must complete the survey to enter the competition. Then they must answer this question, “Please tell us in 25 words or less If you could recommend one self-care activity to a friend, family member or colleague, what would it be and why?” The participation limit for entries will be one entry per person. 

Eligibility: Those eligible to enter are members of Essentially You. Teachers Mutual Bank Limited Directors, employees and Members Committee members and members of their family (spouse, de facto, parent, grandparent, child, stepchild, grandchild, brother or sister) are not eligible to enter. 

Draw details: Competition entries will be judged by a panel of Teachers Mutual Bank employees by 5pm AEST Thursday, 4th September 2025. 

Winner notification: The prize winners will be notified via phone call by 5pm AEST Friday, 5 September 2025. 

Prize details: One of three $50 Coles & Myer gift cards. 

Unclaimed prizes: Winners must provide their postal address by 5pm AEST Tuesday, 9 September 2025 so the gift cards can be delivered by mail. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable; if a winner fails to provide their postal address by 5pm AEST Tuesday, 9 September 2025, another winner will be picked, at this time, in the same manner as set out in Draw details, and the prize winner will be notified in the same manner as set out in Winner notification by 5pm AEST Wednesday, 13 September 2025. 

Promoter’s details: The promoter is Teachers Mutual Bank Limited ABN 30 087 650 459 AFSL/Australian Credit Licence No 238981, 28-38 Powell Street, Homebush NSW 2140. 

Winner’s consent for promotion: In the event they are a winner, entrants must consent to the promoter using their name and their response submitted to the competition in any media for an unlimited period of time for the purpose of promoting, publicising or marketing this promotion and promoting any products and services by the promoter. 

Indemnity and disclaimer: To the extent permitted by law, you agree to release and indemnify Teachers Mutual Bank and its agents and employees from and against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury, damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise. 

Teachers Mutual Bank is not responsible or liable: (a) If, for any reason beyond Teachers Mutual Bank’s reasonable control, any element of any prize is not provided (and Teachers Mutual Bank, in its absolute discretion, may substitute a different prize of equivalent value in place of any prize referred to in these terms and conditions); (b) if, for any reason, the competition is suspended, varied or terminated at any time, with or without prior warning or publicity; (c) for late, lost or misdirected entries; (d) for any change in the value of a prize occurring between the publishing date and the date the prize is claimed. 

Privacy: Teachers Mutual Bank is committed to complying with privacy laws. We collect personal information about you to (a) enter you into our competition; (b) provide you with information about membership benefits and our services and products; (c) provide you with information about financial services and products from third parties with whom we have arrangements; and (d) advise you of the results of any relevant competition. Whenever it is reasonable and practical to do so, we will collect personal information directly from you. If you do not give us the personal information we require, we may not be able to accept your entry into our competition. In providing our financial services and products to you, it may be necessary for us to disclose personal information about you to other organisations who assist us in providing products and services. Our Privacy Policy is available at www.tmbank.com.au.  Amongst other things, the Policy contains information about: (a) how you can access personal information about you; (b) how you can correct personal information about you; (c) how you can complain if you think we may have breached your privacy; and (d) how we will deal with your complaint. Depending on our commercial arrangements, we may disclose personal information about you to business partners with operations overseas.  If we do so, we will ensure that personal information about you is handled and kept secure in the same way as it is in Australia.

Other terms: Teachers Mutual Bank has the right to exclude any person from this competition for any reason whatsoever and to amend these terms and conditions at any time or cancel the competition, subject to applicable law.
